The heart of your writing whilst appearing reasonable in the beginning, did not really work very well with me personally after some time. Somewhere throughout the sentences you were able to make me a believer but only for a while. I nevertheless have got a problem with your leaps in logic and one would do well to fill in those breaks. If you can accomplish that, I would certainly end up being impressed.
