@MG21749 You obviously didn’y see interviews with Green Day when the Network started being a band. People would ask GD questions and they’d say “The Network is not Green Day because Green Day is not the Network.” or at the end of interviews, they’d just say “Oh, and Green Day aren’t the Network.” It’s just a joke. I obviously know that they are the same band.

@Mrman871 I knew that they made homecoming and jesus of suburbia in short 30 second songs but i didn’t know that, and i know American idioit (album) was written after Cigarettes and Valentines, it was just a theory i guess, doesn’t matter either way i guess, i like to think their the only band that can make 3 bands sucessful i love them that much aha. Maybe to much, if it’s possible… thanks for the info though.
@Mjbell93 I read a biography on this Green Day. Apparantly, Cigarettes and Valentines was a punk CD with a lot of 3 chord songs, kind of like Pre-Dookie. After they “lost” the recordings, Green Day didn’t right anything for a couple of months until the boys left Mike Dirnt in the studio, where he wrote “Nobody Likes You”(it’s about them leaving him in the studio alone). Nobody likes you was the first “song” in American Idiot, so Idiot was written after Cigarettes and Valentines :D

Did they do this so they could release Cigerettes and Valentines. But they came up with American Idiot and still wanted to release this but thought it wasn’t as good maybe, so decided to do it this way as they still wanted it out there? If that makes sense, just i’m not sure.
