An inspirational speech; it really does call forth that inner rage once you actually do what he instructed. Still, it’s unfortunate that most of mainstream America lacks such ardor to express themselves genuinely.

its a bloody disappointment how i just now know about this film. This is the type of things you NEED to be aware of. Not only America, but the entire world is falling into chaos. We need to look for solutions for these problems, not state them in a fear campaign.

A little criticism about the movie, i was disappointed at the ending. It felt rushed.

Greece got IMF’ed beyond recognition. All I want to say is that I’M AS MAD AS HELL AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE. Can you hear me, new world order vultures?

@yaknbo I wouldn’t say that, but I do write to our government officials, I do sign petitions, I do what I can to SHARE information so others can make their own decisions! I do not believe I am better than anyone else, I just know that apathy is truly the American way…If you take that personal, then good! It means ya got off that chair! ;.P

@tattoosue Oh, and YOU are Lawrence of Arabia?

@jontycampbell yea, but the contrasts are so vast, that there is no one perception that can enslave the mind…there are too many, and the vast ironies cause people to star to make distinctions…raise distrusts…and so, although it may appear as its a simpler and cheaper version of mind conditioning, the amount of disparate opinion causes a sort of conversion to the actual reality. I may be wrong, just my opinion.

@zeroisonandoniszero “.its really hard to manipulate the masses now that the illusion has been shattered with the internet…”

Oh?…The web is merely television with knobs on…and it’s increasing ubiquity makes mind conditioning and control simpler and cheaper.

activities can be gotten pretty easily from the internet, google news…reuters, ap, etc…they keep us updated..political bullshit; racism, global warming, immigration, health care…we make up our own mind—the new yorker, the economist….deep politics… drudge report. problem solved. Everybody else can kiss my ass.

  13. zeroisonandoniszeroNo Gravatar says:

nobody gives a fuck about ‘news networks’ …lol. I think we have inferred our inertial ‘anchors’ of where reality lies by the time we are 23…its really hard to manipulate the masses now that the illusion has been shattered with the internet…everything else is bunch smoke and mirrors by special interests…and factual news related to daily

  14. zeroisonandoniszeroNo Gravatar says:

hahaha…news networks would beg for this type of power–the fact is, news networks are most likely going to go bankrupt in the next decade…they don’t have nearly the power that they flatter themselves with this reference from network. Who cares what msnbc or cnn or fox news says? bunch of losers in their own little bubble world..they can kiss my ass. I don’t think apart from a pair of gentlemen’s clubs in new york city, anybody else actually thinks the way those people do

  15. staticstormNo Gravatar says:

I just realized the inherent irony in many of the comments. The film’s supposed to show us the ruthless and immoral nature of news networks, but instead viewers are they themselves manipulated (just as the characters in the movie.).

  16. staticstormNo Gravatar says:

In the end, he is the pawn of the network. They don’t care what he says, does, or incites. The ratings are what matters. The moment Finch’s ratings decline, the network unceremoniously disposes of Finch.

It’s sad how many people misunderstand a masterpiece like Network.

I don’t think you guys get it… Peter Finch’s character is an insane evangelist preaching a populist (and nonsensical) message. His words mean nothing and carry no answers; however, millions of people still listen to him. Why? They feel like they’ve lost control of their lives, maybe, and Finch’s rantings and emotional manipulations give them the illusion of control.

Unbelievable. That’s all I can say to people who bash Glenn Beck. If you don’t like the guy, then fine…that is your right to your own opinion. However, if you have actually listened to what he has to say, you would know that he doesn’t side with anyone, in fact he dislikes both parties as a whole and believes in the simple liberties that our Constitution provides, not what the Government thinks it should and wants to provide (i.e. universal healthcare).

  19. Kbubbles983No Gravatar says:

It’s unfortunate that people don’t see it that way, instead Beck is a fear monger! This video absolutely describes how I, my family and my friends feel about what is happening in this country right now. Lets just sit back and wait for this next bill (amnesty bill) that proposes we make all illegal immigrants U.S. citizens…No better way for the progressives to guarantee reelection, hunh???? That makes me MAD AS HELL!!!
